David Crosby calls Steely Dan his favorite band

The passing of Steely Dan co-founder Walter Becker compelled a blogger to ask singer-songwriter David Crosby to comment.

Their first tour after coming out of retirement was a killer show . . . . Fiddler's Green was hoppin

As song-writers and composers - those two have to be among the best. RIP Walter.

Early Steely Dan were notorious for not touring but that music has been part of my soundtrack since high school. Aja is on my top ten best albums in history. I saw Croz with Nash in Minneapolis in the 70s and solo in The Catalyst in Santa Cruz just days after John Lennon was killed.
