Thune went to DC poor, is now well-greased

John Thune has sold out.

Pink slime not only defines the Thune experience, the Senator is virtually greased by the manufactured meat product.

When Thune went to DC he was among the least wealthy of US Senators.
Sen. John Thune (R-SD) may hail from one of the least populated states in the union, but that hasn’t prevented him from rising up the ranks of the inside-the-Beltway elite. Thune arrived in Washington in 1997 as South Dakota’s lone House lawmaker. He mounted a successful bid for U.S. Senate in 2004. [Open Secrets]
Now don Juan Thune has 11 million simoleons stashed in his closet but because he's so slimy he can never hold a higher office than the one he bought in 2004.

Surprise! Some conservatives believe John Thune is a fake.
A few years ago, a man named John Thune went to Washington. Over the past few years, I have watched Thune as he has moved away from his conservative prairie values and replaced them with what I am sure he would call pragmatism. I am sure you will see the obligatory conservative vote here and there, but when he had to really put skin in the game for us, he will almost always go with the Beltway Gang. So if I was still in S.D., I may be helping unseat the prince. You may want to consider this, also. [excerpt, LTE, Joe Bingiel]
Bingiel contacted Argus Leader content director, Patrick Lalley, and pledged to unseat Thune even finding a real conservative to oppose the Beltway insider in South Dakota's Republican US Senate primary. Lalley's comments came during Monday's broadcast of 100 Eyes.

Thune has brought nothing to the state he represents except devisiveness and a culture of militarism. If he was a Democrat, Republicans would be having a cow over a professional politician who went to DC just for self-enrichment.

If the 2016 GOP presidential nominee doesn't pick Thune as running mate it's because he's a crook, infidelitous, or both.
