kurtz is a mostly-retired builder who grew up in Elkton, South Dakota, attended SDSU and SDSM&T with thirty years in the Black Hills partnering with clients in hospitality and real estate development and a decade in Montana creating art-of-fact now living grid-free southwest of Santa Fe covering cannabis and the politics of the environment in the Rocky Mountain West.
