Betty Olson: no global warming in 18 years

Rep. Betty Olson (RWNJ-28) is a trip.
President Obama is in France this week preaching that “climate change” is the biggest threat facing the world right now. Obama declared Tuesday that his attending the climate change summit in Paris would be a “powerful rebuke” to terrorists. Really? How can Obama possibly think climate change is be more dangerous than Islamic terrorists that have murdered millions of Christians and people who are not Muslim? There has been no global warming in over 18 years, so they changed the term “global warming” to the more politically correct “climate change.” Our country is almost $19 trillion in debt and now Obama wants to increase our debt by giving $3 billion of your tax money to third-world countries in Asia and Africa to combat “climate change.” I don’t know about you, but I don’t think sending our hard-earned tax money to countries that hate us is a very good idea.
Read it all here.

But wait. Hello, Betty?
2015 will likely be the hottest year on record, according to a preliminary analysis released by the World Meteorological Organization. Worldwide temperatures are expected for the first time to reach more than 1℃ above pre-industrial temperatures. The five years from 2011-2015 will also likely be the hottest five-year period on record. Average global atmospheric CO₂ concentrations over three months also hit 400 parts per million for the first time during the southern hemisphere Autumn this year. On top of this, we are experiencing one of the strongest El Niño events ever recorded. [2015 to be hottest year ever, according to World Meteorological Organization]
Candidate Dennis Daugaard drew gasps from a State Fair audience in 2010 when he said: “I am skeptical about the science that suggests global warming is man-caused or can be corrected by man-made efforts."

South Dakota Senator John Thune wants to gut the National Weather Service because it studies the Anthropocene, then end environmental protection and start World War III by invading Iran.

As far as terrorism is concerned: suspect Langley, Mossad, and IDF first.

Little wonder welfare rancher Betty and her political party want to deny existence of the Anthropocene because it falls on Democrats to get anything done about it.

I mean, have you seen the area of SD called the Badlands? hello!? how much more proof do they need that ancient Indians had waaaay too many buffalo pie fires back in the day! this global warming trend has got to stop! the sky is falling! the sky is falling (even if it's not), the sky Is falling!

Some scientists say the makings of the Anthropocene began as Asians migrated into North America burning the taiga and boreal forests ahead of them. If there is any evidence of humans being in the Badlands of South Dakota before 12,000 years ago i'd sure like to see it.

Sometimes I really really don't understand some (the majority of) south dakota elected officals. Islamic terrorism has killed millions of Christians and non Muslims?
Uncle Larry there's not enough time in the day for you to respond to that one.
Na there's no global warming...kind of like "countries that hate us"
I suppose ol Betty is a good church going woman that gossips outside the church afterwards. Lar, these SD politicans are touched. Are these people representative of the voters in their districts?

I wonder that, too: if they represent their political party and not the people of the district. I'm waiting for the B-1 bombers from Ellsworth to buzz her ranch and run a herd of cattle through her fences.
