This is not about just a legal ruling in the latest round of battling over the state's violation of the Indian Child Welfare Act (ICWA). This is about the halting of genocide in America. South Dakota has been committing blatant genocide against the Sioux people in violation of subsection (e) by transferring Indian children to white homes, and also of subsection (b) amid allegations of sexual abuse and drugging of Native children in DSS foster care. Larry, none of this would be happening if everyone was treated exact the s as me. That will never happen as long as there is that reservation border to remind everyone that we arent created equal. If you have native blood, there are no simple or real answers. You can remain on the rez and have nothing because of the corrupt leadership, or you ca move and make money. The problem is that nobody wants to move but they would like that money.
Thereare no easy answers when you live on a regressive rez.

It's frustrating as hell, Bill. Here in New Mexico there is at least public transportation for the tribes and pueblos so people can get to work or shop but racism is still rampant all over the West.
