SD law enforcement industry continues racial profiling

Yiel Wuol of Spokane, Washington and Joshua McLean of Raymond have been released on bond after they were arrested near Kennebec.
Woul [sic] was reportedly driving 2 mph over the posted speed limit, and he pulled over and stopped at exit 235 when a Highway Patrol officer activated his emergency lights. Both men are charged with possession of more than 10 pounds of marijuana and possession with intent to distribute more than one pound of marijuana, both of which are Class 3 felonies. [10 pounds marijuana found in suitcase]
This is simply another case where a member of South Dakota’s law enforcement industry profiled a person of color driving within the margin of error in a racist state.

Another South Dakota state trooper spent his time systematically profiling cars with license plates from states with legal cannabis until a Washington man stood his ground. Cannabis is legal in Washington but South Dakota convicted African-American Donald Willingham with multiple counts in Pennington County after Trooper Zach Bader illegally profiled the vehicle in which he was riding on Interstate 90.
A federal appeals court says law enforcement officials in Kansas cannot stop and search motorists for having nothing more than out-of-state license plates from states that have legalized marijuana. The 10th Circuit Court of Appeals on Tuesday says the officer’s reasoning would justify the search of citizens from more than half of the states in the country. It found the officers violated Peter Vasquez’s Fourth Amendment rights in searching his car. [Associated Press]
Recall that in 2012 short guy power hungry Bader accosted a Montana family instead of policing Sturgis Rally traffic. In 2004 Montana voters legalized cannabis for some patients.

The overwhelming number of people profiled from legal cannabis states on I90 are persons of color as is the population of South Dakota’s prisons. Mercy is a lethal injection but any time spent in a South Dakota jail is a living hell.

Cops' lives suck. Little wonder they abuse their families, alcohol, drugs, food, power, detainees and occasionally murder their wives.
