Democrat's popularity forcing SDGOP-glutted legislature to seek more power

The popularity of a Democrat running for governor in South Dakota is causing some panic in South Dakota's earth hater-heavy legislature.
Senator Billie Sutton of Burke says most people want good things for their community and state. Sutton says he hears about the GEAR UP funding program that has led to criminal charges. He says it appears that no one wants to take responsibility for the problems.

“It does show vision,” said Sen. Brock Greenfield, R-Clark. He is Senate president pro tem and vice chairman of the Executive Board this year. He becomes chairman in 2018. “I think that will make us stronger.”

Greenfield is recovering from a series of obesity-related surgeries.

So, the earth haters not only want to raise the pay for themselves by 70% they want to pull a North Carolina trick by giving themselves more power to resist a Democratic governor.
