President Trump told the White House press corps on Saturday, Nov. 11, that he had had several brief conversations with Russian President Vladimir Putin on the sidelines of an Asia Pacific summit the two men were attending in Vietnam. Sadly, that’s not all Trump said. He saw his meeting with the media last weekend as a chance to go after former prominent intelligence and law enforcement officials who disagree with his Russia views. It appears that Trump doesn’t trust our nation’s intelligence community, but has no problem trusting Putin. I don’t know about you, but that’s enough to make the hair on my neck stand on end.
