Bjorkman calls out culture of abuse in Pierre

A South Dakota Democrat running for the state's lone US House seat has spoken out on red state failure and the legacy of abusers like Donald Trump.

I was asked recently to share my thoughts in light of recent reports of sexual harassment and rape in the state capital. This needs to change. With regard to issues in our state capital, I call on all men and women of integrity in state government to lead the way with common-sense ethics rules that provide for methodical investigations of each report, due process, and where a violation has been found, public findings. In addition, where it appears the conduct is criminal in nature, there should be vigorous prosecution.
