I could not agree more on imperialism. Seems not to matter if there are 'conservatives' or 'liberals' running the DC circus, the bombs keep dropping. The problem may not be 'progressive' vs 'sticks in the mud', but the government itself.
Strikes me, the founding docs as written would work fine, minus the 3/5ths and shame on women parts. Those parts were inconsistent with the philosophical basis of the docs.
The whole "fight them over there or we'll fight them here" argument is a lie to line the pockets of arms manufacturers and to create endless war.
We are truly fucked.
