Rewilding could slow human extinction

Everything is connected:
Wolves were native to the Yellowstone National Park until hunting wiped them out. In 1995, when the wolves began to come back, something interesting happened: The rest of the park began to find a new, more healthful balance. Journalist George Monbiot is author of the book Feral: Rewilding the Land, the Sea, and Human Life. The book follows Monbiot's efforts to re-engage with nature. He shows how, by restoring and rewilding our damaged ecosystems on land and at sea, we can bring wonder back into our lives, and lays out a new, positive environmental vision, in which nature is allowed to find its own way.
President Obama: do it before it's too late.
A priest serving as chaplain at Avera St. Luke Hospital and Avera Mother Joseph Manor in Aberdeen for more than 18 years has been fired by the Avera administration. The Catholic Diocese of Sioux Falls says recent allegations of sexual harassment by Reverend Charles Emezie against adult female staff members have been found credible. These accusations are also violations of the diocesan Sexual Misconduct policy. The Diocese of Sioux Falls encourages those who have been victims of sexual abuse or misconduct to contact its Victims Assistance Coordinator so that the Catholic Church might offer "whatever assistance is appropriate". But that is like the thief that stole your car now suggesting to you to contact them for counselling. Absurd! What victims should do is contact local authorities and legal assistance/advise. The rats are fleeing Mike Rounds' sinking ship:
What Napoli described about Rounds (the mud puddle) is why people like him become popular: they tell you what you like to hear to your face (and because most people don’t bother to look at actions, most people don’t realize that after telling you that, he goes and later betrays what he told you to your face. Larry I believe that priest who served at Mother Joseph and St. Lukes was sent back to India. I don't know if he was deported or the church just sent him back.

I just wish they would take responsibility and make it right for what has happened over the years. Plenty of lives have been scarred as a result of a breach of trust.

If the church has to sell assets to pay for damages than so be it. Otherwise it will just drive more Catholics away from the church.
