South Dakota Governor Dennis Daugaard has signed into law a measure that would limit the authority of a constitutional convention delegate from the state. The bill serves as a companion measure to a proposal that calls for a convention to amend the U.S. Constitution to require a balanced federal budget. The bill would also require convention delegates from the state to take an oath affirming they wouldn't support a rogue amendment. [KNBN]Like Bill Janklow, Dennis Daugaard loves being an autocrat.
