After the last post on this subject, I brought the matter up with one of the key people in the City of Lead. He indicated that it wouldn't work because the rocks are too unstable to safely support climbing of any kind.
How about a world-class bobsled run at Terry Peak? You know, a place where the best bobsledders could come and hone their skills? Or maybe just a world-class steak house?
There's gotta be some sort of gold still left around here. Here in Lead, we're free of the horrific problems that plage the big cities I've lived in (Miami, Minneapolis, Hartford, Los Angeles).
Guess there's such a thing as a secret too well kept.

Oh, Stan.
There is nobody in Lead not suffering from myopia. The City is dependent on Deadwood for survival borrowong money every year to balance their budget.
Dripping 5000 gallons of water over the side of that shady spot when it's zero would stick like concrete. That rock is perfect.
Those assholes on the council should consider self-administering 150mg. Demerol with plastic bags over their heads.

There has been talk of Deadwood annexing Lead for a number of years. In Montana, the County of Silver Bow merged with the City of Butte with good results.
