Complaints from neighbors led to discussion by the Fort Pierre City Council Monday on what should be done with the Wakpa Sica building and grounds in the north part of Fort Pierre. City crews can’t set foot on the grounds without permission because it is designated as tribal trust land. A governing board had been set up for the Wakpa Sica site when the project began, and that was led by the late Lower Brule Sioux Tribal Chairman Michael Jandreau. Seiler's predecessor, Brendan Johnson, is an interested party in Jandreau's affairs.
