ND Senator wants bigger bailout pool for welfare farmers

Welfare farmers in South Dakota are reporting the worst wheat crop in over forty years and some fifty percent of planted acres will be plowed under.
Senate Agriculture Appropriations Subcommittee Chairman John Hoeven, R-N.D., said today he favors increasing the $30 billion per year borrowing limit for the Commodity Credit Corporation, the Agriculture Department’s line of credit at the Treasury Department. The CCC was set up in the 1930s to stabilize farm income and prices, support agricultural exports, and provide disaster assistance. [Hoeven wants CCC limit increased]
The Murphy Fire is threatening homes and structures three miles northwest of Hermosa. And yes, the grassland fire danger index will reach the high and very high categories again Thursday for most of the chemical toilet, sacrifice zone, perpetual welfare state and permanent disaster area.
