Scalia croaks; who's Trump's nominee?

Supreme Court Associate Justice Antonin Scalia has gone to his just reward.

A Democratic Senate confirmed Anthony Kennedy, Ronald Reagan's nominee to the Court in his last year in office and failing to confirm an Obama nominee could significantly increase voter turnout, which historically works against GOP. 4-4 decisions affirm the lower court.

A 4-4 court would uphold strong unions, abortion rights and affirmative action.

Thank you, Nino Scalia, for reminding us why Democrats need to control the federal bench. Scalia's exit is just one more teaching moment and should be a clarion call for Tom Daschle to get in South Dakota's US Senate race.

For some reason Google's poll widget is down so, tell us: a President Donald Trump will nominate whom for associate justice for the Supreme Court of the United States: Sarah Palin, Ted Nugent, Ted Cruz or Tom Cruise?

Southern Strategy my ass . . . . that terminology was used going back eons when I was studying PolSci in Doc Farbers' class. What it was . . . was the GOP offering redneck-rascist congressionals a home-port after LBJ shoved the Civil Rights Act down their throats.

Special msg for Mr Kurtz and Lynn (from Plankinton) this morning . . . cannabis on the shelves out here in Oregon is s t i c k y. The coast is clear - come on out.

Did you see in that map that South Duck is Trump territory, Duff? Lynn is a dry drunk if i ever did see one.

Lynn (She/He?) lashes out from suffering . . . and is only making matters worse for herself.

South Duck for Trump? Yeah, I can see that. Subsidized/Christian farmers decrying the call of their Jesus to feed/care for the poor. Fat-cats feathering nests of their brethren with, of course, taxpayer dollars . . . . and they howl about a "Socialist" competing for the Dem nod. Rich.

What do I know? I thought Jeb and all his money would seize the day.

Headed back to California next week. Oregon is doing fine in their roll-out but I fear Cali may be divided beyond hope. The large money will need to "tweak" their proposition a bit - and then mount a great campaign.

I see the legislature there in NM has a bill up - any chance?

NM leg killed the cannabis bill. South Duck just sent a watered-down medical cannabis bill to the full senate.
