Looks like Earth haters Marty Jackley and Pat Powers are crowing over $52 million the horrible red state of South Dakota might receive but Meta owes the state of New Mexico a total of $942 million after a landmark child safety lawsuit. This total comes from a two-phase trial in Santa Fe, which concluded in August 2026 when First Judicial District Judge Bryan Biedscheid ordered a $567 million abatement fund, on top of a $375 million civil penalty previously awarded by a jury in March.
