Gaia taking aim at chemical toilet...again

A High Wind Watch has been issued for counties west of Brown and Spink from 6 PM CST Thursday through 6 PM CST Friday. Winds of 35-45 mph gusting to 60 mph will be possible, with the highest gusts over central South Dakota. High winds may move loose debris, damage property and cause power outages. Travel could be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.

  1. A Black Hills town named for a war criminal is fretting red flag warnings and extreme wildfire environment. "Burning Beetle: Thanks Custer County Chronicle for the shout out!! We are keeping an eye on the weather (winds are supposed to be done Friday night, our event is Saturday) and talking with the Custer Volunteer Fire Department about potential fire risk. We have an awesome fire department that helps us with monitoring after the burn and clean up EVERY year. This year will be no different."
