BHNF still offering Xmas tree permits

Do your part and help the Black Hills National Forest control understory and ladder fuels on your public lands.
Christmas Tree Permits are available from mid-November through the week prior to Christmas to cut down your own ponderosa pine, spruce, or juniper tree for the holiday season. You need a permit for each tree you cut. Each permit costs $10 and can be purchased in person at most area Forest Service offices, some private businesses, or by mail.
