A new study published in Social Science & Medicine suggests that taxation that depends on the number of calories or amount of sugar per liter may be the best approach and could even encourage manufacturers to produce and promote healthier alternatives. Last year, Mexico became the first country to implement a nationwide sugar-sweetened drink tax when it introduced a tax of one peso (around $0.07) per liter – about 10 percent of the price. I've had a few people confide to my mother that they had an ex spouse or family member that was transgender and they were somehow able manage it though painfully. A few were very prominent and had much to lose.
Sounds like the bathroom bill and others will be round #4 at the SD legislature. BPA and chemicals are everywhere disrupting brain chemistry. How many microwave leftovers in Tuperware containers. So many things we later find out we were not supposed to do with chemicals leaching into our food. Plastic bottles engineered for limited use and heat tolerances. All this expose can lead to hormone disruption, sterility and other health issues.
If these legislators were so concerned about children someone should throw back changing the stat of limitations for clergy abuse in SD rather than chasing phantoms for fundraising and votes.
