LAS VEGAS (AP) - Supporters of Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul have seized control of the Clark County Republican Party's ruling body.
The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports (http://bit.ly/xUND47 ) Paul backers won election Saturday to 14 of the county GOP's 21 executive board positions, or two-thirds of the body.
In other voting at the county GOP convention in Las Vegas, Paul supporters won as many as half of the 1,382 delegates nominated to the state convention May 2-4 in Sparks.
I found this interesting The New York Times reports that US Marines at Camp Leatherneck who were waiting in a tent for US Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta to speak were ordered to disarm:
In a sign of the nervousness surrounding Mr. Panetta's trip, the Marines and other troops who were waiting in a tent for the defense secretary to speak were abruptly asked by their commander to get up, place their weapons -- M-16 and M-4 automatic rifles and 9-mm pistols -- outside the tent and then return unarmed. The commander, Sgt. Maj. Brandon Hall, told reporters he was acting on orders from superiors.
Republican is simply another word for Earth hater but comments intended to troll the author or other readers will not be published so use a handle or even your real name and don’t be an asshole.

ReplyDeleteI saw the bomber photo on someone's Facebook status. The tone was celebratory. Woe unto humanity.
